Movie Camp

22nd Day in New York

Yesterday morning, my mom and I gave back the thing the fish hung on then, went to the library, liquor store, and the barber. My hair is short again. When we got home we played croquet. Then, my grandpa went to pick up my cousin in Elmira from a golf tournament. Then, we went to the lake and swam with my aunt. The water wasn't that cold. When we got back my grandpa decided that he wanted to look at a truck that my mom found for him on Craigslist. It is Ford F-150 1995. He went and looked at it with my mom when my grandma and I went fishing and caught nothing, so we came home. After dinner, my grandparents and I played Masterpiece. Then, right before bed I started to pack my bags.

The Fourth of July

Yesterday morning, my grandma, grandpa, and I went down to the park with some neighbors to have a fourth of July picnic. When we got home, my grandpa and I mowed the lawn. Then, we played croquet. We all won once. Then, right after I took a shower, I was invited to go fishing and swimming at miller's pond. I didn't catch any fish. After dinner, we played Masterpiece, then, we went down to the park to light flares, but when we got there, the flares wouldn't light. They were too old.

Independence Day Parade

Yesterday morning, I put all the decorations on the tractor, got ice for the cooler, filled up the gas tanks, and moved chairs to the big lawn. Someone even offered my grandma and my mom to drive one of their tractors, they accepted. We were all preparing for the parade. At 2:45 PM, we all headed down to the beginning of the parade. Everyone brought their tractor. We had three really big old tractors, an old Ford car, and a boat load of little garden tractors. We had a very long parade. The whole parade took about 15 minutes and at the end, people brought cookies. Then, I took back some one's tractor to their house because they didn't take it back. After the party was over and everyone left my aunt, my mom, and I decided to go fishing in a new pond. It was up the road about a mile. When we got to the pond it only took us 2 minutes to catch a fish. I caught the biggest fish, it was about a foot long (big mouth bass). They had an untethered platform in the middle of their pond, so I hooked it and reeled it in. It was fun to go on. In total we got five fish. When we got home my uncle was there and he caught us how to clean the fish. After we cut them up they were still moving. My mom pan fried them. They tasted great.

Going to the Ithaca Farmer's Market

Yesterday, we went to the Ithaca Farmer's Market, hoping that they had strawberries. They didn't. Then, we went to the Tractor Supply store to see if they had John Deere T-shirts. They didn't. Then, we went to the grocery store to get strawberries and ingredients for our parade cake. When we got home, my mom started to make strawberry rhubarb jam, but we realised that we didn't have enough glasses. My grandma and I ended up having to go the grocery store to get jelly glasses. Then, we made black raspberry Jam, from the black raspberries on the farm. Both jams turned out great. We went out to a restaurant for dinner, called Hazelnut Kitchen. On our way home from the restaurant, I noticed that there were flashes in the sky. I quickly realised that they were fireworks. To get a better view we went down to the lakefront. There were fireworks all around us.

18th Day in New York

Yesterday, my mom came to New York. We all went to the airport to get her. On the way there, we went past a tractor show and I wanted to stop and look. On the way back, we stopped and looked. It was very fascinating, they had a long row of old tractors, old engines, a saw mill that was making shingles, and a whole bunch of farm tools. When we got home, I gave my mom the tour of the farm to show her what I have done. Then, we prepared for the fourth of July, by putting a big flag on the side of the barn, putting a table in the big lawn for the parade, putting chairs in the big lawn, and putting little flags along the street. Then, I cleaned out the underside of the little lawn mower, again. After dinner, we played Masterpiece.

17th Day in New York

Yesterday, in the morning, I power washed the big lawn mower. Then, I helped the gardener by cutting some bushes down and mowing in between a fence and the flower bed. Then, I had lunch, bacon, eggs, and hot chocolate. Afterwards, I got a stomach ache. After lunch, I helped my grandpa plain some wood for his new desk and helped him wood shop. Then, I went around in the car delivering flyers for the parade to people in the village. When I got back, I continued to help my grandpa. Then, I mowed around the field with the push mower. It was a long way. Then, I went inside. After dinner, we played Masterpiece.
