Voting

Last night, we voted for the primary elections for California. I was really the one voting with a little help. We voted for Meg Whitman.

Photo Contest

The city of San Jose had a photo contest of historical buildings and I entered 2 photos in it. One was taken from the top of the city library looking at the Bank of Italy/Bank of America building on 1st St and Santa Clara St. The other one was a picture of the De Anza Hotel sign taken from Santa Clara St. The one taken from the library won 1st place in the under 19 historical buildings group and the De Anza photo won 3rd place. I entered another photo but it didn't win anything. There will be a reception at City Hall on Tuesday May 18.

Exchange Student

In early May, we had an exchange student called Ceny stay with us. He was from Blerancourt France. In October I went to his house (75 mi from Paris). The exchange trips are for school. We took him to the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, Mission San Juan Bautista, and his class went to the Cantor Museum of art (Stanford), Muir woods, and San Fransisco.
